Conflict of Interest
Jurnal Masyarakat Merdeka (JMM) is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the publication process. Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that may affect, or appear to affect, their work or decisions.
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships that could influence the planning, implementation, reporting, or interpretation of their community service activities. This includes relationships with partner institutions, sponsors, funding organizations, or other parties involved in the activities. Any potential conflict of interest must be stated in the manuscript at the time of submission. If no conflicts exist, authors should include the following statement: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
Editors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their editorial decisions. Editors must not handle manuscripts involving personal, professional, institutional, collaborative, or financial relationships that could compromise their impartiality. In such cases, the manuscript must be assigned to another editor to ensure a fair and objective editorial process.
Reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could affect their ability to review a manuscript fairly and objectively. This includes personal relationships, professional collaborations, institutional connections, financial interests, or other relationships with the authors or organizations involved in the community service activities. Reviewers who have conflicts that may affect their impartiality should decline the review or inform the editor so that appropriate action can be taken.
JMM reserves the right to take appropriate action if a conflict of interest is identified during or after the publication process. All parties are expected to act honestly and transparently to maintain the quality and credibility of the journal.
